Excerpt from Heated Dreams
The bell above the door tinkled and Roxanne did a double-take, and froze. It was the man of her dreams. Literally. She was so startled by his appearance she blurted, “You! But . . .I’ve dreamed about you.”
“Yes. I know.”
"How could you possibly know that?”
“You invited me into your dreams,” he said. “I’ve enjoyed them as much as you have.” Then, in her head, not in her ears, she heard as clearly as if he'd spoken aloud, I can cure you of your strange affliction, your sad inability to function fully as a woman.
She sucked in a sharp breath laden with the scent of leather from his thigh-length black coat, as well as the scent of man. The October mist from outside still clung like diamond dust to his crisply curled hair and his eyes, she saw when his gaze captured and held hers, were a pale, almost iridescent green, at odds with his dark hair, eyebrows, and olive skin...
Brett had to touch this exotic woman, and when he did, to his amazement, he saw her lips part damply, eyes widen, glaze over, felt the waves of her pleasure radiate from her fingertips, up her arm, into her heart, her lungs, her blood, dance along her tender nerves to cluster and form deep inside her belly, then flare outward, upward as her rigidly contained emotions burst forth. She gasped and he held her hand tight as the sensations in her peaked then slowly ebbed, leaving him completely gratified with the knowledge that he had accomplished a wondrous deed, given her great pleasure, and that he would be able to do so again. Perhaps she was not as damaged as he’d first believed.
Roxanne heard his words in her mind as he paced, panther-like, to the door, turned and looked seductively back into her eyes: I'm happy I could help you.
